I convinced my wife to switch to the Iphone. So, when I decide I wanted to go out and find one, I find that nobody has one. The two Apple stores in the area are both out. And I called one of the AT&T stores to find out that all of their stores in the Tampa area are completely out and it may be a week or more until they get new inventory.

In a word: WOW!

The demand for this phone is really amazing. At the same time, I can't help but wonder if Apple might be throttling their inventory just a little to keep a perceived shortage. After all, if you hear of a shortage, you immediately think everybody else wants the phone. And that makes you want it even more.

Smart, Apple. Smart.

You could imagine emailing wordpress@posterous.com and have it go directly to your wordpress blog, or if you had a camera phone photo you wanted to post everywhere, just email post@posterous.com and it shows up on Facebook, Twitter (a la Twitpic), Tumblr, Wordpress, and your Posterous all through one easy email attachment.

Wordpress does have a little-used way of emailing in blog entries, but using an outside service is much easier to set up and use.
